What information does F2M ^® collect?

Non-subscribers:

We do not collect any personally identifying information from persons who visit our site without logging in or using one of our pay-per-use services.

Subscribers and Purchasers:

We collect information from our subscribers during the subscription process, from individuals who purchase products offered for sale and, occasionally, at other times. Subscribers may sign up on-line or, in the case of certain services, by a written User License Agreement. In either case, we collect information about the subscriber through registration forms completed at the time of subscription. This information is then stored in a secured environment under password protection. Consult the registration form we ask you to fill out on-line in order to see what kinds of information are collected in connection with your subscription. When a product is purchased, we collect information required to fulfill the order and process payment. This information is stored in a secured environment. On occasion, F2M ^® may also collect additional information from subscribers in connection with opinion surveys. F2M ^® reserves the right to review and change subscriber data once entered for accuracy.

To help us protect your privacy, please do not share your user id and password with others.

Timber Sales:

We collect the details of timber sales as noted in the input screens. We do not share this information in detail but make it available only in aggregate to authorized subscribers.

We employ cookie technology to recognize you and your access privileges on our site, to help subscribers move faster through the site, and to track site usage. When a subscriber logs on to our site and uses key features of the site, we post cookies to that user's computer. A cookie is a string of information that is sent by a web site and stored on your hard drive or temporarily in your computer's memory. This avoids the potentially time-consuming task of checking our registration database each time a page is requested. We also employ cookie technology to store subscribers' user names and passwords. Subscribers who do not accept cookies from the domain "forest2market.com" cannot access certain areas of our website. We do not employ cookies from advertisers in our services.

Credit card payments:

Our site uses the services of VeriSign for you to sign up for certain subscription services and to purchase publications. VeriSign collects and stores a subscriber's credit card information to bill the subscriber for these services. By subscribing to one of our services, you agree that F2M ^® may store information you provide as part of the process. We use a digital certificate for encryption which was generated by VeriSign to protect the credit card data you provide as it travels over the Internet. We also use VeriSign for credit card payment verification to ensure that credit card numbers are valid.

IP Addresses:

F2M records IP addresses, or the location of your computer on the Internet, for systems administration and troubleshooting purposes. We do not use IP address logs to track your session or to monitor your behavior on our site.

Forums:

F2M ^® may, from time to time, offer forums for on-line discussion of subjects of interest to our subscribers. Any information you disclose when posting a message in these forums becomes public to the users of our service.

F2M ^® does not release subscriber names to any outside organization, which means that we do not sell our on-line subscriber list. F2M ^® may perform statistical analyses of user behavior in order to measure interest in the various areas of our site for product development purposes.

F2M ^® periodically sends e-mails to its subscribers about new site features and services offered. If you choose not to receive e-mails from F2M ^® (except those specifically relating to your service), please send an e-mail to admin@forest2market.com requesting that your e-mail address be removed from F2M ^® General Correspondences.

We also use your personal information for the purposes of providing you with any services to which you subscribe, products which you purchase, carrying out service-related activities, and notifying you regarding any problems with the services. In this regard, it may be necessary for us to disclose your personal information to one or more agents or contractors, but such persons will be required to agree to use the information obtained from us only for these purposes.
